Molly Guide - Schedule, Gifts and the Workshop Unlock

Molly is the town’s toolmaker and the single most important early NPC: her errand Helping Molly unlocks the Workshop, which forges every tool upgrade in the game. This page has her verified schedule, gift table, and the unlock chain.

Where to Find Molly

The rotation keeps her inside the Workshop → Library → Task Board → General Store loop — Sunday mornings are a guaranteed Workshop visit, and so is every night. Rain and snow pin her home. She has no schedule overrides; the Workshop door is the answer.

Gift Table

Godscale is a fishing treasure roll (the Weird Fish drops it too) — see the loot table in the fishing guide — and her loved list is a miner’s reward sheet: bars before ores, the rarer the better, with one pointed exception — plain Iron Ore itself is hated while Iron Bars are liked. Smelt first, gift second. Unlike Sam, Rock-Dweller and Stonelurker are liked, so lake and campsite bycatch never rots. Molly’s Task Chain: The Workshop Unlock

Helping Molly (Town Outskirts): bring Copper Ore — the start grants the Rusty Pickaxe, Workshop access, a furnace, and a crafting blueprint. Everything downstream depends on it:

• The Sturdy and Quality fishing rods (Herb’s free rod is tier 1 only)
• The hoe and watering can ladder up to Superior (8 tiles / 64 capacity)
• The Keg, Lightning Rod, and Preserving Barrel blueprints from tasks (Hans’, the A Ghostly Catch job, and Secrets of the Deep respectively)
