Fog Eel - Where to Catch It and What It's For

The Fog Eel is the Lakefront’s trick catch: in the same water where worms work for half the roster, this fish wants leeches only. That single bait rule causes most of the demo’s “cannot find fog eel” reports. Here is everything verified about it.

Where and How to Catch the Fog Eel

Leeches come in the Bait Pack (Tier 1) alongside worms — check the rod’s Use option before casting to confirm what is equipped. The full Lakefront roster and every other water type are in the fishing guide.

What the Fog Eel Is For

1. Herb’s Casting your Line (Lakefront). Show Herb a Ghost Flounder and a Fog Eel — the quest that also hands you the free Old Fishing Rod and 3 worms — to earn 5 fish recipes. The Ghost Flounder half uses worm bait in the same water; one leech-and-worm session finishes both.

2. Dave’s A Snack for a Cat (Town). Cook a Fog Eel + Celery into Fog Broth. The reward is the Preserving Barrel (also obtainable through Art’s Secrets of the Deep job), a core farm-processing building — see the farming guide. Celery is an 8-night, 85g crop.

3. Cooking ingredient. Fog Broth is the known Fog Eel dish in the demo data; watch Elroy’s recipe shop after Hans’s The Farmer’s Path unlocks it.

Fog Eel as a Gift
