Where does the Rainman fight happen?

The trigger chain runs through the Old Woods: the Giant Fish at the Campsite fish spot is the only documented Rain Gem source, and breaking one on a rainy day brings this out. Rainy days already host the Weird Fish at the fishing spots — the Rain Gem makes Town itself part of the season.

How do you beat the Rainman?

• Light ends it. The combat guide’s simplest pairing: Light damage into a Darkness weakness, against 75 HP. Almost anything Light-flavored closes this fight.
• Magic is the softer door. 8 magic defense against 10 physical — marginal, but free. Whatever element coverage you carry, the bar is too small for this to matter much.
• It moves first. 15 Agility puts it in the Pretty Flower’s speed tier — expect to take a hit or two before your turns land. With 10/10 offense that is survivable by any build that reached the Rain Gem in the first place.

What does killing the Rainman get you?
