The Giant Fish in Elderfield: a 400 HP Darkness enemy weak to Curse, spawned by low rolls on the Campsite fish-spot mystery — and the only Rain Gem source.
FAQ
How do you spawn the Giant Fish?
What is the Giant Fish weak to?
What does the Giant Fish drop?
The Old Woods’ Campsite hides a fish spot that usually pays a Crystal Flask — and on the die’s worst rolls, replaces it with the Giant Fish: a 400 HP Darkness-element wall of eyes and tentacles, and the only documented source of the Rain Gem.
Where does the Giant Fish fight happen?
| Location | Campsite, The Old Woods |
| HP | 400 |
| Defense | 38 physical / 43 magic |
| Element | Darkness |
| Weakness | Curse |
| Agility | 0 |
The trigger is the mystery die: the mysteries guide tracks the Campsite fish spot as 6–7 paying the Crystal Flask on the first win, while 0–3 spawn this fight. At 400 HP it matches the Denizen of the Deep Fryer’s health bar — a third again the Mall Administrator’s 300.
How do you beat the Giant Fish?
- Curse is the lever. A Darkness-element enemy with a documented Curse weakness — exactly the coverage the combat guide says to check before any hard fight. Physical damage into 38 defense works too; it is the softer side of the split.
- 0 Agility, 30/30 offense. It hits identically both ways and acts slowly. The fight is a steady race you control — heal on your spare turns, and retreat to the Campsite’s other mysteries if the bar outpaces you.
- It guards the weather. Breaking a dropped Rain Gem on a rainy day summons the Rainman — this fish is the gate on that entire encounter chain.
What does killing the Giant Fish get you?
The documented drop table: Gem Bag, Rain Gem, Mystery Meat, Stealth Musk. The Stealth Musk lands on loved and liked gift rows across town — see the gift guide — and Mystery Meat is the classic early sellable from the beginner guide’s monster-loot economy.
